Nigerian woman Adaeze Gift Okolie has shared her perspective on marriage, claiming that 80% of men who are closely attached to their mothers, often called "mummy boys," make good husbands.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, Okolie used her marriage as an example, revealing that her husband has always treated her with love and respect, even during vulnerable moments.
"Some men who love their mom dearly hardly disrespect their women. For the years I have lived with my husband, he has never told me words that pierced my heart," she wrote.
She further praised her husband for his sensitivity toward her postpartum body changes, stating that he never body shamed her.
"When I complain about baby fat and stretch marks, he will always say, 'Mummy, that's what makes you a real woman.' He is very good in this aspect," she added.
Okolie noted that while her husband is regarded as the family's stubborn child, his deep love and respect for his mother have translated into how he treats her as a wife. She concluded that, based on her experience, 80% of mummy boys end up being good partners.
