A recent report claims Shimite Bello, Delta State Governor's Special Adviser on Trade and Export, passed away from hypertension.
Earlier, we reported that social media flooded with condolences, following Shimite Bello's death, with rumors emerging about her husband's alleged involvement in her tragic passing.
However, the Delta State Police Command launched an investigation, with her husband in detention, amid threats from his in-laws.
A close associate of the deceased's husband recently took to social media to refute rumors about his alleged involvement in her death.
Olatunde Adekunle Babalola, the close associate identified on Facebook, revealed that preparations were underway to make Shimite Bello a local government chairman in the 2027 general elections.
According to Olatunde Adekunle, a senator paid for Shimite Bello's autopsy, which attributed her death to unmanaged hypertension with enlarged organs.
He further claimed Shimite Bello's family took her corpse to an unknown location, prompting police intervention.
The post reads, "Autopsy has been conducted and i got a supervising Pathologist and am vindicated. My wife had a very serious case of Hypertension which wasn't managed. Most of her organs as well were seriously".
