Putin won't be present says Kremlin
French President Emmanuel Macron said Tuesday that he will attend Pope Francis's funeral on Saturday after US President Donald Trump confirmed on Monday that he will be present with First Lady Melania Trump.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will also attend, according to EU executive sources.
'We will be present at the Pope's funeral, as is only right,' Macron told a press conference during a visit to Réunion.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will be present at the funeral too, AFP reported a Kyiv source as saying.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has no intention of attending, his spokesman Dmitry Peskov was quoted by Tass as saying.
