Skales shut down the speculation, revealing that the track in question was old and had been uploaded without consent.
Nigerian singers, Dammy Krane and Skales have clashed on the X platform over a song.
The clash occurred after a resurfaced song stirred controversy among fans.
It all began when a user on X called out Skales, tweeting:
"Mehn @youngskales lost my respect jumpin on a track with Dammy Krane to step on Davido's 5ive, crazy stuff mehn!"
Skales quickly shut down the speculation, revealing that the track in question was old and had been uploaded without consent.
He replied:
"That track is from over 10 years ago... it was released without myself and Runtown's permission on DSPs... it will be taken down."
Dammy Krane, clearly angered by Skales' statement, fired back with a fiery post:
"Did I f0rce you to RECORD? Aren't you feeding off a song you made 10 YEARS AGO... Don't CROSS ME if u no want make G0D use me PUN!SH you... I'm PETTY asf."
He ended the post by promoting his latest release:
"5IVE by DAMMY KRANE ⚡️ out now."
The tension comes amid Dammy Krane's ongoing issues with Davido. In the past, he has publicly accused Davido of unpaid royalties and sabotaging his career, claims Davido has repeatedly denied.
