Very recently, Russia and Uganda disclosed intentions to partner on a nuclear project, that would involve the construction of a nuclear power plant in the East African country.

In July 2024, the Russian-state-owned energy company Rosatom signed a nuclear deal with the Congo Republic.

In March, Algeria's Ministry of Energy signed a memorandum of cooperation with Rosatom.
