A woman who got a permanent tattoo on the roof of her mouth was rushed to the hospital after developing a severe bloodstream infection.
According to a post on TikTok, the woman had recently gotten the tattoo and began experiencing severe symptoms, including a high fever and unbearable pain in her mouth.
In the post, she explained: "I got a tattoo on the roof of my mouth and instantly regretted it. Five days later, I started running a high fever. The pain in my mouth was unbearable, and nothing I did made it better."
She continued: "My fever got so high that my mom called 911. As soon as I got to the hospital, they admitted me and ran a bunch of tests. The tests confirmed that I had developed a severe bloodstream infection."
The woman shared her harrowing experience to warn others about the potential risks associated with getting tattoos in sensitive areas.
