Head coach of the Super Eagles, Eric Chelle, has singled out two of his players for praise following Nigeria's 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier 1-1 against Zimbabwe on Tuesday.
Chelle watched as Nigeria and Zimbabwe shared a point each at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
The first-half ended in a goalless draw as both teams failed to score.
However, Victor Osimhen gave the Super Eagles the lead in the 74th minute via a nice header.
But the visitors equalized late in the game through Tawanda Chirewa.
Speaking at his post-match interview after the game, Chelle said both Ola Aina and Bright Osayi-Samuel played good game against the Warriors.
Chelle said,
"Ola played on the right side and sometimes on the left side. I think he played a good game and Bright too."
He added,
"But it was difficult at the end, in the last minutes. We got a draw."
Nigeria are in fourth position with seven points in Group C standings after the Zimbabwe encounter.
