Nollywood legend, Jide Kosoko has recounted how he saw a man dressed as a masquerade going into a man's house to sleep with his wife.
During an interview with Seun Oloketuyi, an actor and producer, Jide disclosed that he was the one who settled the issue between the man and the "supposed masquerade".
According to Kosoko, if a movie were to depict this event, there would be some individuals who would see it as an idea that they could replicate.
He explained that people might want to do so because they know Ekun masquerades are considered to be untouchable and hence will take advantage to replicate the incident.
In the words of Kosoko:
"I have witnessed Egungun (masquerade), a person from Ekun, moving into the residence of another man in order to have a good time with the wife of the other man. I have witnessed that in the past. I was the one who provided a solution to the problem. Will it be possible to stage it at this point? Now, some individuals will develop an idea from that movie, and if it is done in a movie, they will say, 'Oh, actually, because nobody can question any Ekun person, I can do this.'"
