According to report, Professor Benjamin Okaba the president of the Ijaw National Congress (INC), the pinnacle of the Ijaw sociocultural organization, seeing this as yet another slap on the face, we Ijaw people are not happy. We will, however, again later host a meeting of wider stakeholders to address our position. The Ijaw will surely review our accomplishments in this Nigerian endeavor and the remaining options to better highlight our quest for self-determination during that meeting. We believe it is hasty because the president has the authority to use the calls from Nigerians worldwide to call his minister, Nyesom Wike, to order.
However, even though Wike has been the enemy, he had declared rather bluntly that he would prevent Siminalayi Fubara, the governor, from ruling inasmuch as he does not follow his lead. As we previously stated, Wike is tenacious in his desire to seize public resources and authority. The residents of Rivers State will suffer as a result of his desire to make the state his own. The governor cannot compromise that mandate because he wants to appease someone. He made a covenant with the people of Rivers to deliver on sustainable development.
There are clear facts all over the place, and I believed the president ought to have had a look at them all. I stated it's unfair, so why are you going to fire Sim and abandon Wike? Eliminating all those involved is the best course of action.

Wike must be fired, along with all other federal appointees from the state, because if they are not fired, they will use their positions to provoke further problems and carve out more favorable roles for themselves.

He Said; "he (Wike) said the two conditions he must meet are: 'Allow him to control all the LGAs in Rivers State, and that he (Fubara) should sign an agreement that he would not contest in 2027.'
