According to a report on Thursday, the ongoing attempt to recall Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has been met with defiance, as her media aide insists she is not bothered about the attempts to have her constituents recall her from the Senate.
Akpoti-Uduaghan, who was recently suspended, addressed the recall initiative through her spokesperson, Israel Arogbonlo, in a phone call with Newsmen on Wednesday.
Reports surfaced that some residents from Akpoti-Uduaghan's constituency had begun a recall process.

The initiative, which gained attention on Wednesday, was particularly prominent in Okehi Local Government Area, where several electors were seen registering to participate in the process.
According to Nura Ibrahim, one of the constituents involved, the recall effort was a response to growing dissatisfaction with the senator's performance, especially regarding issues like poverty alleviation, infrastructure development, and education in the region.
Despite the momentum behind the recall initiative, Akpoti-Uduaghan's aide has dismissed the efforts as being politically motivated.
He emphasized that the recall attempt is sponsored by individuals with ulterior motives, often referred to as "fifth columnists," and assured that it would not succeed.
The spokesperson further stated that Akpoti-Uduaghan's team was under no pressure and would not engage in unnecessary confrontations.
"As far as we are concerned, the recall attempts wouldn't stand," Arogbonlo remarked.
He also reminded the public of a recent protest by Akpoti-Uduaghan's actual constituents, who expressed their lack of interest in the recall process and reaffirmed their support for the senator.
