Ivan Toney turned 29 in style and made sure to splash the cash.
England international Ivan Toney certainly knows how to make a statement.
The Al-Ahli striker, who swapped the Premier League for Saudi riches last summer, celebrated his 29th birthday in opulent style, dropping over ₦200 million (£100,000) on a night to remember.
According to The Sun, Toney went all out, hiring the exclusive Little Tate nightclub in central London, where bottles of ₦4 million (£2,000) Belvedere Vodka and top-tier tequila were stationed at every table.
The night was strictly VIP, with footballing stars such as Bayern Munich's Michael Olise, Chelsea's Trevor Chalobah, and Liverpool's Joe Gomes in attendance. Gomes, fresh from a Carabao Cup final defeat to Newcastle United, seemingly put the loss behind him as he joined the revelry.
Celebrity grime rapper Chip, whose real name is Jahmaal Fyffe, was on deck duty, keeping the atmosphere electric as Toney danced the night away.
A guest at the event told The Sun: "No wonder he had to head home to enjoy himself-that would get him 10 years in jail in Saudi."
Toney's Saudi move came after Brentford accepted a £40 million bid from Al-Ahli, despite reportedly reaching an agreement with Napoli for the transfer of Nigerian superstar Victor Osimhen.
However, the Super Eagles striker turned down the move in favour of a surprising loan switch to Turkish giants Galatasaray.
Free drinks for women guests
While the bash was elite, not everyone was happy at first.
Female guests initially grumbled about having to cover their own drinks, but Toney, ever the charmer, made sure to rectify that by announcing an open bar for all the ladies, a move that quickly turned frowns into cheers.
However, there was a notable absence-Toney's long-time partner, Katie Bio, mother to his two children, was nowhere in sight.
The England ace, who had been dropped from new national team manager Thomas Tuchel's first squad, didn't let the snub dampen his spirits.
According to The Sun, the festivities continued at the five-star Rosewood Hotel in Holborn until the early hours, before a planned follow-up bash at Cirque Le Soir nightclub.
A close friend of Toney's revealed:
"Ivan's bill comfortably hit six figures, with the nightclub, celeb DJ, dinner and phenomenal drinks bill. And the party will continue into the week."
Toney, who netted 72 goals in 141 appearances for Brentford, has had a tumultuous career, including a high-profile gambling ban.
But he seems to be loving his new chapter in the Middle East.
