Man heartbroken as mother rejects him after 30 years of searching for her, says she has nothing to do with him

A Nigerian man who spent nearly 30 years searching for his mother was left devastated after their long-awaited reunion did not go as he had hoped.

The emotional story was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @LajaOriade, who revealed that his friend, abandoned as a baby, was rejected once again as an adult.

According to @LajaOriade, his friend was raised by his father after his mother left when he was an infant.

Determined to reconnect with her, he spent years searching for her whereabouts. However, when they finally met, the encounter took an unexpected turn.

The post read;

"My friend searched for his mum for about 30 years after abandoning him with his dad as a baby. The day he met her, he came out of the house hiding his tears from me. She didn't want him as a baby & still didn't want him as an adult."

@LajaOriade further added:

"I think my friend turned out dysfunctional cos his mother left, his father remarried, & the wife made his life hell until he left home finally in Junior secondary. We hear so much about those who eventually pull through but many abandoned children don't."
