Wike Should Make Himself a Hero by Embracing Fubara, Telling Him I'm Your Elder- Jake Epelle

Jake Epelle has called on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to embrace the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, and put their political differences aside. Speaking in an interview with Channels Television, Epelle urged Wike to act as a true leader by making peace with Fubara despite their past conflicts.

Epelle pointed out that Fubara currently has little legal support, as the judiciary has not been favorable to him. However, the governor continues to carry out his duties, including commissioning houses for judges, which Epelle found ironic given his legal struggles. He emphasized that Fubara seems ready for peace and might even be open to meeting with Wike if the FCT Minister is willing.

Addressing Wike directly, Epelle urged him to take the high road and prove himself as a great leader and Hero He suggested that Wike should tell Fubara, "inspite of what has happened, and maybe the abuse and the things you have said. I'm your elder, I put you there. I'm willing to stoop low, continue the work. I have just proved to you that I can deal with you, but however, I can also pull back."

According to Epelle, this is what true leadership looks like-being able to step back and allow progress instead of continuing conflict.

He also pointed out that Wike has an opportunity to make himself a hero by choosing unity over division. If he reaches out to Fubara, it would show strength, wisdom, and true leadership, setting an example for others to follow.
