Troops of Operation FANSAR YANMA have eliminated a notorious bandit, Shehu Kwale, along with several other terrorists during a clearance operation near Mararrabar Kyaware in Zamfara State.
The operation, which took place on Monday, was disclosed in a post by security analyst Zagazola Makama on X on Tuesday.
According to Makama, the troops engaged the terrorists in a gun battle, resulting in multiple casualties among the bandits.
"Shehu Kwale, a close associate of the infamous terror kingpin Dan Ishu, was among those neutralized during the operation," Makama reported.
Sources confirmed that Kwale was one of the most ruthless fighters in Dan Ishu's camp.
Military intelligence further revealed that he was the biological son of Hajiya Dudu Mainono, a resident of Tsafe Local Government Area.
"She once lamented her son's deep involvement in banditry, particularly after he allegedly presented human heads to his leader, Dan Ishu, as proof of his deadly exploits," a security source disclosed.
Military authorities have described the successful operation as another breakthrough in the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and banditry in Zamfara and its neighboring states.
