Viktor Gyokeres, who has been linked to a move to Old Trafford, has delivered Manchester United a timely message.
Many have predicted that Gyokeres will be a target for United when the summer transfer market opens.
In addition to former Arsenal youth standout Chido Obi, United's center forward alternatives at the moment include Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
Sporting Lisbon defeated Casa Pia 3-1 on Sunday in the Primeira Liga match at the Estadio Municipal de Rio Maior.
With two goals in the match, including one from the penalty spot, Gyokeres made a strong statement to United.
Gyokeres has already scored an incredible 39 goals in 40 games for Sporting this season, and there will probably be a lot of transfer rumors in the summer.
The Sweden international was frequently linked to United in January, especially following the hiring of Ruben Amorim as head coach.
Gyokeres was brought to Sporting from Coventry City in 2023 by Amorim, who also coached the striker earlier this season while he was manager of Sporting, reports Evening News.
Amorim was questioned shortly after arriving at Old Trafford about the prospect of acquiring any Sporting players.
He disclosed that he had a "gentleman's agreement" to refrain from doing so in January, but he did not rule out that this would change in the summer.
