Police abduct medical radiographer, label him yahoo boy, and extort ₦551,500

A disturbing report has surfaced online, alleging that police officers in Enugu abducted a 29-year-old medical radiographer, falsely labelled him a yahoo boy, and extorted the sum of N551,500 from him.

The incident was brought to public attention through a post shared on a popular social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), by a user identified as @Mazi_OJD.

According to @Mazi_OJD, the victim's brother reached out to narrate how his brother, a medical radiographer, was forcefully picked up by some police officers in Enugu. They reportedly labelled him a yahoo boy without evidence.

The victim was subsequently taken to a police station, where he was allegedly tortured and coerced into writing incriminating statements against himself.

The officers then took him to a POS agent, where they forced him to withdraw N551,500, which was collected as a bribe.

Further details revealed that the incident began when the victim was driving along a particular road and stopped at a mechanic shop to fix his tyre.

Police officers passing through the same area reportedly stopped, picked him up, and subjected him to the ordeal that followed - including his detention, forced statements, and eventual extortion.

As the post gained traction online, concerned individuals flooded the comment section to express their outrage and call for justice.
