However, political turbulence has intensified as the State Assembly has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Governor Fubara, demanding that he present the 2025 budget. "2024 budget, judgments had been passed, we have passed 2024, that is like casting somebody to jump to the sky, which you cannot do. Where will you get to? You can't even get to the point of a five-story building, how much more going to the sky?" Elekima said. He continued, "I think that this judgment has no basis. I don't think the judgment is even valid. Those who are celebrating it, I don't know where they are celebrating it to."
