Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso has played down the heated confrontation between Victor Boniface and teammate Emiliano Buendía during their win at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Boniface lashed out at Buendía after they got in each other's way while attempting to take a shot in stoppage time of the 4-1 victory.
Both players had to be separated by teammates.
Jeremie Frimpong spoke with Boniface, who was also followed closely by Alonso as the Nigerian forward left the field after the game.
"I spoke with Boni," Alonso said afterward.
"I don't have all the details, but Boni wanted to shoot. It can happen. We don't want to make something big out of something so small.
"We're staying calm. On Monday, we'll keep going again."
Both Boniface and Buendía were substitutes in the game, and all the goals had already been scored by the time they came on.
