A lady has taken to social media to narrate how her friend was allegedly robbed by a man she went on a date with after experiencing a sudden loss of senses the moment she entered his car and shook his hand.
The story was shared in a lengthy post on her page via the popular social media platform, X, formerly known as Twitter.
According to her, her friend had been trying to meet up with the man since they first exchanged contacts in December last year, but they only managed to schedule a date in February this year.
Initially, the man offered to pick her up from home, but plans changed and he asked her to meet him at a different location so they could head to their destination together.
Upon meeting him and entering his car, she shook his hand, and immediately after, she reportedly lost all sense of awareness. The man then proceeded to rob her of her phone and money.
In her words:
"My friend just got robbed by the person she went out on a date with this afternoon."
"She met him around December last year at ICM. They exchanged numbers but hadn't found time to meet until today. Initially, he offered to pick her up from home, but she suggested they meet at ICM instead, since he said they were going somewhere around Maryland."
"When she got to ICM, she called us to let us know she had seen him where he parked. That was the last we heard from her until she returned home."
"According to her, the moment she entered his car and shook his hand, she lost control of her senses and couldn't understand what was happening anymore."
"She's still crying on the bed, and we're trying to see if we can track her phone, but it's currently switched off."
"He drove her somewhere within Ikeja, took her phones, and made her withdraw all the money in her account at a POS stand. After that, he drove her back to ICM, gave her ₦2,000, told her to get down, and drove off. It was only after he left that she regained her senses."
Following the post, concerned individuals flooded the comment section to share their thoughts and reactions.
