Nigerian superstar Victor Osimhen has suffered an injury ahead of next month's 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.
The Super Eagles are scheduled to take on Rwanda's Wasps away and Zimbabwe's Warriors at home under their new head coach Eric Chelle.
Osimhen, who is Nigeria's star striker, was substituted in the 89th minute of Galatasaray's goalless draw with Fenerbahce on Monday evening.
It has now been confirmed that it was an injury-enforced substitution by Galatasaray's team doctor Yener İnce.
"We will see, it will be clear tomorrow," the 55-year-old said on habersarikirmizi.com.
The 26-year-old is currently the joint-second all-time highest goalscorer of the Super Eagles with 23 goals in 39 caps.
Only Rashidi Yekini has scored more goals for Nigeria than Osimhen having netted 37 goals in 62 caps.
