5 Best Betting Tips to Put Your Money on This Weekend

5 Best Betting Tips to Put Your Money on This Weekend

The games are coming thick and fast, and after a midweek packed with European Cup action, we return to the top five leagues to give you the best tips for the weekend.

Here are five tips that could help you cash out big this weekend and you can bet on all five right here (odds at time of writing)

Holstein Kiel vs Bayer Leverkusen

Holstein's debut season in the Bundesliga has gone as bad as you can imagine. They're bottom of the table, with just 13 points from 22 matches so far.

This weekend, they're up against defending champs Bayer Leverkusen, who are looking for revenge after Kiel came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 in their last meeting. Xabi Alonso's men haven't been firing on all cylinders lately but we expect them to bounce back in style here.

Holstein Kiel's tendency for high-scoring games (15 of their 22 matches have had over 3.5 goals), means this should be a game for goals.

Southampton vs Brighton

Southampton's 3-1 defeat to Bournemouth last weekend was their seventh straight defeat at home, a run that has seen them concede 3+ goals six times.

Their next challenge is Brighton, a team they've struggled against recently, failing to win any of their last six meetings (D3, L3).

Meanwhile, Brighton will be full of confidence after that morale-boosting 3-0 win over Chelsea. The Seagulls had a rough patch with a 7-0 hammering against Nottingham Forest, but they've been solid on the road this season.

Southampton have the worst defence in the league and Brighton's forwards will be licking their lips.

Las Palmas vs Barcelona

Las Palmas have lost five of their last six La Liga matches, and are now flirting dangerously with relegation. Their biggest issue is an inability to keep clean sheets, with just one in their last seven, making this potentially a goal-fest.

They will also feel confident after pulling off a stunning 2-1 win in the reverse fixture last November. However, this version of Barcelona are much improved and now unbeaten in their last 12 competitive games (W10, D2), including four straight La Liga wins.

Robert Lewandowski is in excellent form, and you can get great value by backing Hansi Flick's men to win this comfortably.

Manchester City vs Liverpool

Pep Guardiola is going through the worst season of his managerial career, and the midweek defeat to Real Madrid was a new low for City in a season of lows. However, it does offer them a chance to focus totally on finishing in the top four, and avoiding defeat against Liverpool this weekend would be an excellent way to go.

Liverpool are great but have shown some cracks in recent weeks, especially in defence. Their 2-2 draw against Aston Villa showed they can be vulnerable, no matter how brilliant they are going forward.

There have been at least two goals in 10 of the last 11 meetings between both sides, and with City's porous backline, expect a high-scoring game.

Lyon vs PSG

Lyon had endured a run of seven games without a win in all competitions (D4, L3) but they've bounced back in style over the past week with consecutive high-scoring victories. They now sit sixth in the standings with 36 points, just four points off the Champions League places.

Paulo Fonseca's men have suddenly found their groove in attack, scoring eight goals in their last two games, and their willingness to play open, expansive football could make this one of the games of the weekend.

However, their opponents, PSG, are arguably the most in-form club in Europe. After thrashing Brest 10-0 on aggregate in the Champions League, no one wants to face them right now.

Luis Enrique's men are 10 points clear of Marseille, and an unbeaten season appears to be within their sights. They're also unbeaten in 19 games across all competitions, and we expect that streak to continue.
