Portable at Ogun Police HQ - The Full Story Behind His Arrival

Nigerian music star Portable has ended his run from the law by showing up at the police station. The singer, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, first went to Lagos before being taken to Ogun State Police Command.

The whole story goes back to February 5, 2025. That day, some town planning workers were doing their jobs in Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota. They stopped at Odogwu Bar, where they found Portable's father. When they asked about building papers, things got bad. Portable came with nine other people carrying weapons. The workers had to run away to save themselves.

While he was hiding, Portable put up some strange posts online. He talked about getting mental health care, saying, "I fear government. I am a federal government liability. Then I'm a madman; I have medications that I usually take. You can confirm from Aro Hospital. I have a card that certifies me as one of their patients." He even tried to make it look like he was being chased because he wore clothes showing Senator Adeola Solomon.

Police officer Omolola Odutola gave an update, saying, "The Ogun State Police Command wishes to inform the public that Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, arrived at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran, Abeokuta, at exactly 13:23 hours today, February 19, 2025. His presence at the SCID is connected to an ongoing investigation. The command assures the public that due process will be followed in handling this matter, and updates will be provided as necessary."

The police already caught the nine people who were with Portable during the attack. They are all young people between 19 and 28 years old: Nurudeen Warris, Adetola Alashe, Samuel Adeleke, Oluwaseun Ayenuwa, Oluwapelumi Adeosun, Gospel Kanu, Precious Ohiegebo, Ifeoluwa Babatunde, and Fatimo Muhammed.

When Portable finally gave himself up, Lagos police officer Benjamin Hundeyin told reporters, "Portable just turned himself in at the SCID Yaba. We have contacted Ogun State Police Command to come pick him up." The police say they will look into everything carefully and make sure justice is done the right way.
