Don't deceive yourself, money, material things can never be equated to good name - Siminalayi Fubara

In a heartfelt homage, Fubara-an associate and lover of the late Ijaw leader, Pa Edwin Clark-spoke lovingly of the profound influence the elder statesman had on both his life and the Ijaw community, as reported by SYMFONI TV. Fubara, while considering Clark's impact, offered profound wisdom regarding the meaning of life, highlighting the eternal need of honesty over monetary accumulation.

Fubara started by paraphrasing Pa Edwin Clark, saying, "Don't fool yourself; history will not remember anyone for any destructive thing." He emphasized Clark's steadfast dedication to the Ijaw people's well-being, harmony, and unity. Fubara saw in Clark the ideal leader, one who prioritized building a solid reputation and making a meaningful impact on others over chasing after short-term financial gain.

Fubara went on to talk animatedly about how important family is and how values are passed down through the years. He made the astute observation, "If it's a good name, the family good name," to emphasize how one's reputation is frequently more important than material wealth. "In fact, even if the family doesn't have anything, you are the one that says, 'But you told me that so-so person, why are you slacking, why are you slacking?'"

When it comes to prosperity, Fubara says that Pa Edwin Clark's teachings should serve as a reminder that what matters most is not how much money one has, but how strong one's character is and how honorable one's name is. "So money, material things can never be equated to good name," Fubara added, stressing that a good name is more invaluable than anything else.
