A lawyer has expressed frustration after five suspected cultists on trial for cultism openly saluted and hailed their leader, referring to him as "Number 1," in court.
The incident, which has been trending on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), was shared by a user identified as @egi_nupe___.
According to him, the accused individuals, who are facing trial for their alleged involvement in cultism, immediately stood up and began praising a man as soon as he walked into the courtroom.
They referred to him as their "Number 1" while also making cult-related hand gestures.
The lawyer wrote: "These boys are so stupid sha. Like 5 of them are standing trial for cultism, which carries a 21-year jail term, and as soon as their supposed Number 1 was brought into the court from prison, they stood up to hail him in open court, shouting 'Number 1' and shaking hands 😂."
