He Made Several Phone Calls and Booked Appointments, but None Were Granted - Fubara on Rivers Crisis

During a video shared on SYMFONI TV, Rivers State Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara stated that Rev. Henry Chukwudum Ndukuba had made several phone calls and booked appointments to create peace between Governor Fubara and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, but none of his efforts were granted. Fubara made this claim while acknowledging the visit of Anglican Archbishops, led by Most Rev. Henry Chukwudum Ndukuba, at Government House in Port Harcourt.

Fubara expressed appreciation for the Primate's efforts in trying to foster peace amid the state's crisis, highlighting that, despite his attempts to mediate between the opposing parties, he was unsuccessful in arranging meetings for discussions.

In his words, "I want to say thank you to the Primate (Most Rev. Henry Chukwudum Ndukuba). I would have told him this thank you a long time ago. Some of you might not understand why I am saying this, but I will tell you: when our crisis started in this state, as a man of God who believes that the two parties are from his own communion, he made every effort to bring peace. He made several phone calls and booked several appointments, but none of them were granted to him so he could talk to us and help facilitate peace."
