The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Ondo State, Kayode Ajulo, SAN, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Pan Niger Delta Forum leader and elder statesman, Edwin Clark.
Ajulo conveyed his condolences in a brief statement made available to Torizone on Tuesday.
Newsmen reports that Clark passed away on Monday at the age of 97, with a family representative confirming his death on Tuesday morning.
Mourning Clark, Ajulo said, "In the depths of my sorrow, I find myself utterly shattered, mourning a father who stood by me against all odds, even in defiance of his own blood.
"His love was a fierce shield, and the trust he placed in me created a bond that knew no boundaries."
He added, "He entrusted me with briefs far beyond my capacity, launching me into the limelight just as I was leaving law school. His Eminence Ekwin Kiagbodo Clark, OFR, CON, was not merely a mentor; he was my guiding star in a world shrouded in darkness, opening doors where none existed and paving paths with his boundless generosity.
"Today, I grieve for a giant whose heart matched his wisdom, leaving a void that words cannot capture. Adieu, dear father; your legacy and love will resonate in my life forever."
Clark was a Nigerian nationalist, elder statesman, lawyer, and influential political leader from Delta State.
