Aston Villa lineup vs. Liverpool: Predicted XI for Premier League clash as Marcus Rashford starts

Rashford to make first start? Predicted Villa XI vs. Liverpool

Aston Villa new boy Marcus Rashford could make his full debut for the Lions when they welcome Liverpool to Villa Park for Wednesday's Premier League clash.

The Manchester United loanee was introduced from the bench in the weekend's 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town, where his free kick crashed the bar before Ollie Watkins struck the Lions' leveller from the rebound.

Having also impressed as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup, and with games coming thick and fast, Rashford should come into contention for a first start for his new club when the league leaders visit.

Donyell Malen's place in attack could therefore be at risk, as Rashford - who has netted five Premier League home goals against Liverpool in the past - seeks to join Jacob Ramsey and Morgan Rogers behind Watkins in the final third.

As Amadou Onana is still recuperating from a thigh problem, John McGinn ought to occupy a deeper position alongside Youri Tielemans once again, but Unai Emery has several concerns to manage in defence.

Pau Torres, Ezri Konsa and Matty Cash all remain out through injury, while Boubacar Kamara succumbed to an injury after just 16 minutes against Ipswich, although Emery is hopeful that his problem is minor.

Nevertheless, a fit-again Tyrone Mings should now join Axel Disasi at the back, where Lucas Digne and Andres Garcia will also be tasked with protecting Emiliano Martinez.

Aston Villa possible starting lineup:
Martinez; Garcia, Mings, Disasi, Digne; Tielemans, McGinn; Ramsey, Rogers, Rashford; Watkins
