A young Nigerian lady has marked the first anniversary of her survival after battling cancer, which led to the amputation of her left leg.
Taking to the X platform, @bidemi_akins reflected on the life-changing moment of February 16, 2023, when she lost her leg while fighting to stay alive.
Sharing a then-and-now comparison-one photo taken after her surgery and another from a recent photoshoot-she expressed deep gratitude to God for granting her a second chance at life.
"One year ago today, I lost my leg to cancer. The enemy's plan was not just for me to lose my leg, but for me to be buried. But today, I stand as proof that God is not done with me, that His mercy speaks louder than any verdict of the enemy. Thank you, Lord Jesus 🙌," she wrote.
