Reality star, Doyin David has asserted that before a lady thinks of getting married, they must have at least 5 to 10 million Naira in their account.
Doyin made this assertion during her podcast, "Doyin's Corner" during an interview with colleague Chizzy.
While explaining her comment, Doyin said that it is important to have a substantial amount in an account so that if the unexpected happens, the woman can find her feet.
Using her family as an example, Doyin David recounted how her mother took up all the responsibilities after her father died because she had her savings and was also working.
"At whatever level you are, you need to save up some money. For example, after my dad died, he left a lot of money. I never got to do anything. Up till now, I don't even take public transport. I don't know how to do all these house chores because of how I was brought up".
"Assuming if my mother didn't have money saved up. What will have happened? Because it took a while to access my dad's money after his death. I didn't feel the absence of my dad until after years because my mum took over the responsibilities".
