According to Sportskeeda, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has confirmed that winger Noni Madueke will be out of action for some time following a hamstring injury.
The 22-year-old was forced off in the first half of Chelsea's Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion on Friday, exiting the pitch in the 21st minute.
Providing an update on Madueke's condition, Maresca also addressed the status of right-back Malo Gusto.
Speaking to Chelseafc.com, he stated, "Malo is okay. Noni unfortunately has a hamstring problem so unfortunately will be out for a little while."
Gusto, who also had to leave the game in the 65th minute, was replaced by Reece James but does not appear to have suffered a serious issue.
Madueke, on the other hand, has been a key player for Chelsea this season, contributing eight goals and four assists in 28 appearances across all competitions.
His absence will be a blow for the team as they continue to struggle for consistency.
Chelsea endured yet another disappointing result at the Falmer Stadium, falling 3-0 to Brighton.
The home side took the lead in the 27th minute thanks to a stunning strike from Kaoru Mitoma. Yankuba Minteh added to Chelsea's misery by scoring twice, netting in the 38th and 63rd minutes to seal a dominant victory for the Seagulls.
This latest defeat continues a worrying trend for the Blues, who have now gone six consecutive away matches without a victory in all competitions.
Their recent record includes four defeats and two draws, highlighting their ongoing struggles under Maresca's leadership.
