Nigerian comic skit maker, content creator, and actor Zic Aloma has shared a new video three weeks after undergoing rhinoplasty, revealing the reason behind the nose surgery.
In the now-viral video circulating on X, formerly Twitter, Aloma provided an update on his recovery.
He noted that his face was significantly swollen in a previous video he released, but the swelling has since reduced and will continue to subside in the coming weeks.
Addressing the motivation behind the procedure, he disclosed that he had been ridiculed for his nose by his siblings and others from a young age, often feeling self-conscious about its size.
In the video, he proudly showcased his nose, expressing satisfaction with the results and emphasizing that it would continue to refine over time.
He also discussed the cost of the procedure, stating:
"This is three weeks post-operation, three weeks after my rhinoplasty. I'll be taking off this cast so you guys can see how well my nose has healed. If you noticed, my face is less swollen. The last video I posted was five days after my surgery, and my face was still very swollen. It will continue to go down."
Clarifying misconceptions about rhinoplasty, he added:
"Some of you don't even know what rhinoplasty is. Some think it's a death sentence. People undergo it for different reasons-some for aesthetics, like me, and others for medical reasons, such as breathing issues. I've always had a very flat nose, and if I could have reconstructed it as a child, I would have."
Aloma further opened up about the ridicule he faced:
"My siblings constantly insulted my nose, calling it too big and ugly. Among us, I was the only one with this type of nose. It made me feel different."
Speaking on the cost of the surgery, he addressed speculations, saying:
"I want the speculations to continue, but for the sake of transparency, I didn't pay for the procedure. It was a collaboration between me and a hospital."
As the video gained traction online, social media users flooded the comment section with reactions, sharing their thoughts on his transformation.
