A star of the reality show, Love Island star, Danny Bibby, experienced a terrifying near-miss after his car went up in flames, capping off a dramatic week on the ITV reality show.
Danny Bibby had a brush with death after his swanky McLaren 720S supercar, worth a cool £220k, suddenly went up in flames mid-drive.
The 28-year-old reality star was cruising at a modest 30mph when the rear of his "dream car" spontaneously combusted as the ITV All Stars show is in full swing.
In a panic, he dashed for the fire extinguisher, but before he knew it, the whole motor blew up right in his mug. Taking to Instagram, the lad shared harrowing clips of his prized wheels ablaze, trying to crack a joke amidst the disaster.
With his car on fire, he quipped: "'Have you got anything to put that out with? 'Ye mate here, just letting it burn to the ground for a laugh innit'." As the inferno raged on, he posted another vid, saying: "Mate imagine my nephew was still with me wow."
After his followers flooded him with messages of concern, Danny recorded a clip from a car's backseat, recounting the terrifying ordeal.
He recounted: "I was just driving about 30mph and then next minute the car changed gear and the back end was on fire. I pulled over, ran to the fire extinguisher," reports the Mirror.
He continued: "As I'm putting the fire extinguisher, the car exploded in my face and basically I just had to sit and watch my dream car just burn to the ground and everyone just sat there and watched it. Pretty sad, but... Obviously, it's a set back. I'm trying to switch it into a positive. I'm trying to see the positive in it but I'm not quite sure what that is yet. But it's happened for a reason but I don't know why as yet."
Danny recently recorded the intense moment where firefighters doused his motor engulfed in ferocious flames, as it was reduced to ashes.
"Sound, that mate," he quipped, showing off what was left of his ride. F****** nice one."
His followers immediately hit the comments to express their concerns for his wellbeing. One fan posted: "Wow! You're so lucky! ! ! ! So sorry to see this though, hope you're ok!," while another chimed in: "Cars come and go, life doesn't. Be glad you safe."
An outpouring of support followed with a user saying: "Dammm, be thankful for life it's just things at the end of the day," and many echoed this sentiment.
Danny shot to fame on Love Island back in 2021, and has since been making waves with his gents' scent and apparel line.
