Brigadier General Majid Khademi, leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps' Intelligence Protection Organization, recently declared that Iran categorically refuses to enter negotiations with the United States. He referred to the possibility of talks as a "red line," indicating it is completely unacceptable for Iran.
According to report from IRAN INTERNATIONAL, Khademi warned that any threats from the U.S. would result in strong retaliation from Iran, suggesting that the country would respond decisively to perceived U.S. aggression, potentially targeting American interests both within Iran and globally.
His remarks followed President Trump's threats against Iran, which he framed as a push for negotiations to ease pressure.
The general accused Trump of misleading negotiation tactics, suggesting that the U.S. aims to undermine Iran's military capabilities. He emphasized that the Iranian population is more united and resilient than the U.S. may think.
Khademi also echoed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's firm opposition to discussions with the U.S. He indicated that if any negotiations were to take place, they would need to be grounded in principles of intelligence, dignity, and rationality qualities he believes are currently absent in U.S. proposals.
According to Khademi,
"If the US attempts any mischief, as the Supreme Leader has warned, we will respond decisively. Should they threaten us, we will threaten them. If they act on their threats, we are fully prepared to retaliate, putting their national interests at risk across the world."
