Immediate past president general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Nze Fidelis Ozichukwu Chukwu formally on Wednesday, handed over the reigns of power to the newly elected president general, Senator John Azuta Mbata.
The handing over ceremony took place at the Ohanaeze secretariat, 7 Park Avenue, GRA, Enugu.
The ceremony was witnessed by Ohanaeze chieftains including the former PG, Prof. Enwo Iga-Igariwey; the former President of ECCIMA, Okechukwu Nwadinobi as well as the former deputy governor of Anambra state, Emeka Sibudu, now the Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
Mbata and his executive inspected the facilities at the secretariat with a view to improving the infrastructure on ground.
Speaking to the press, the National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Ezechi Chukwu said that they would have the maiden general meeting of Ohanaeze on Friday.
