Transfer deadline day: Arsenal fail to bring in new players

Arsenal failed to sign any player on transfer deadline day despite speculations.

Gunners boss, Mikel Arteta, admitted his squad was "very short".

Arteta's remarks came following injuries to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus.

But the Spaniard did not add a single player to his thin squad as the January window closed on Monday night.

According to Sky Sports, Arsenal are being "focused" on making new signings in the summer.

However, Manchester United legend Gary Neville, believes they can still win the Premier League title.

"I do think they can win it. It is a long shot. but there's a long way to go.

"What they have to do is be there if Liverpool do slip.

"The biggest chance of Arsenal winning is a major injury to Liverpool which is not something anyone would want," Neville said.

Arsenal currently sit in second place with 50 points, six behind leaders Liverpool.
