Man United winger Alejandro Garnacho became the first player to speak out after their 2-0 Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday (February 2).
The 20-year-old played the full 90 minutes as Ruben Amorim's side fell to their 11th Premier League defeat for the season.
Garnacho had the opportunity to put United ahead at Old Trafford thanks to some fantastic play from Kobbie Mainoo, but his close-range effort was blocked just outside of the six-yard box.
Jean-Philippe Mateta was in the right place at the right time to open the scoring for Crystal Palace in the 64th minute, scoring from close range after Maxence Lacroix's header rattled the crossbar.
The French forward bagged his second just five minutes later, beating United's offside trap to secure a memorable win for Oliver Glasner's side.
Not only did Amorim's side suffer another major defeat, Lisandro Martinez picked up what appeared to be a serious knee injury, with fans suggesting he may be out for 'months.'
Alejandro Garnacho attempts to reassure Man United fans after Crystal Palace
Garnacho has seemingly supplanted now-departed star Marcus Rashford, starting 20 of his 36 games across all competitions, scoring eight goals, and providing six assists in his 2063 minutes of action.
The winger is one of just three Man United players to took the time to wish Rashford well on his loan move to Aston Villa, alongside Joshua Zirkzee and Luke Shaw.
Garnacho took to Instagram after the defeat to Palace in an attempt to reassure the fans, he said: "We will try again on Friday."
United's 2-0 Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday (February 2) sees them fall to 13th with an FA Cup tie with Leicester on Friday (February 7) up next.
