Super Eagles star Victor Boniface did not take kindly to being compared to Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson
Nigerian striker Victor Boniface has reacted furiously to comparisons with Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson.
The Bayer Leverkusen forward's fury comes after his failed move to Al Nassr was dissected by journalists on a recent podcast episode.
Scathing criticism of Boniface's potential
In a recent episode of Pulse Sports' "The Heat" show, the issue of Boniface's failed move to Al Nassr was discussed.
When assessing the next possible step for the Nigerian forward, the panellists on the heat debated a move to the Premier League for the Bayer Leverkusen striker.
However, they were all in agreement that the Super Eagles star would struggle to break into any of the top sides in the Premier League, including Chelsea, and Manchester United, who currently employ misfiring striker Nicolas Jackson, Joshua Zirkzee, and Rasmus Hojlund.
Boniface reacts to viral video
Despite Jackson's constant struggles in front of goal as highlighted by Chelsea and Super Eagles legend John Obi Mikel, the crew of The Heat was adamant that the Senegalese striker would be a better option than Boniface.
Reacting to the viral clip of the show, Boniface, in a now-deleted post on X, fired back at his critics, labelling them clowns who feel entitled to opinions.
Quoting Pulse Sports creator Tosin Ojo, who referred to Boniface as her "Nigerian brother," Boniface posted a picture of his superb record since joining Bayer Leverkusen in 2023 as a rebuttal to the idea that he and Jackson are on the same level ability-wise.
With 30 goals and 10 assists in 50 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen, Boniface's numbers speak for themselves, placing the Nigerian striker as one of the most productive in Europe despite battling with injuries in the last two seasons.
