According to a report, As the 2027 general elections approach, former military president General Ibrahim Babangida has reiterated his dedication to Nigeria's unity, aligning with The Nigerian Project, a political movement focused on national reforms and development.
With political allies regrouping to strengthen their vision for a united Nigeria, Babangida welcomed members of The Nigerian Project to his Hilltop residence in Minna.
During the visit, he reaffirmed his firm belief in a prosperous and indivisible nation, emphasizing that lasting progress cannot be achieved in a divided country.
Urging Nigerians to remain loyal to the nation and its leadership, the former president advocated for inclusive governance where citizens can freely express their views, participate in meaningful discussions, and witness the implementation of policies that drive national growth.
"I believe in one Nigeria, and on its unity, I stand. Thank you for following my footsteps and upholding the ideals of patriotism and national unity that we all fought for," Babangida told the delegation.
