Why I Dumped the PDP -Senator Ned Nwoko

Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North, has shared the reasons behind his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a party he has been affiliated with since it was established in 1999.

In a letter dated January 30, addressed to PDP Ward 8 in Aniocha North, Delta State, he pointed to significant internal divisions and irreconcilable factions within the party as key factors influencing his decision.

In a report, Nwoko voiced concerns about the escalating internal turmoil, mentioning a recent conflict among senior party officials on January 29 as a sign of the PDP's instability.

He highlighted that the current party structure in Delta State has impeded his ability to properly serve his constituents and keep his campaign promises.

Though he expressed gratitude for the support received from the PDP throughout his political journey, Nwoko believes that resigning is necessary to focus on the needs and development of Delta North.

This decision marks a considerable change in the political landscape of Delta State and has led to speculation regarding his potential future political affiliations.

While he has yet to announce a new party affiliation, there is widespread curiosity about whether he may join another political group in preparation for upcoming elections.

Regardless of his resignation from the PDP, Nwoko reaffirms his commitment to fulfilling his responsibilities and striving for the progress of his community.

He also expressed his gratitude to the PDP for the opportunities it provided him and wished the party well in its future pursuits.
