The State Prosecutor's Office has filed indictments against two Israel Defense Forces, IDF, reservists from Haifa, charging them with espionage for Iran in exchange for financial compensation.
The suspects, Yuri Eliasfov and Georgi Andreyev, both 21 and residents of Kiryat Yam, face serious charges, including contact with a foreign agent, transferring classified information, and aiding the enemy during wartime, according to an official statement.
The Shin Bet security agency and Israeli police announced their arrests earlier this week.
Investigators say the two men were in contact with an Iranian handler known as "Boaz" and engaged in activities aimed at compromising Israel's national security.
Eliasfov, a former soldier in the IDF's Iron Dome missile defense unit, is accused of providing sensitive intelligence on the system's technology.
Prosecutors say he shared photos and videos of the radar screen with his Iranian contact and offered to sell additional footage for $10,000, receiving an $800 down payment.
Andreyev, who served in the Air Force's operational headquarters, is also implicated in the espionage scheme, though further details of his alleged role remain undisclosed.
Beyond passing military secrets, the indictment alleges that Eliasfov and Andreyev spray-painted pro-Iranian graffiti and hung banners in Tel Aviv bearing the slogan "Children of Ruhollah", a reference to Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of Iran's Islamic Republic.
