The Lagos-based board also announced that the 2025 UTME registration exercise will commence on January 31, and ends on March 8, 2025 at its accredited CBT centres across the country.

According to the board, DE registration which is restricted to its state and zonal offices only will commence on March 10, and ends on April 7, 2025.

JAMB had earlier said that said it is mandatory for all candidates to provide their National Identification Number (NIN), which will be used to generate a profile.

"To generate your profile, get your NIN from the NIMC. Use a retrievable phone number that has not been used before on our platform to type NIN in capital letter, leave a space, then, the actual NIN and send to either 55019 or 66019. E.g: NIN 23456789012 send to 55019 or 66019.

"Please ensure that the phone number you'll be using belongs to someone very close to you (father or mother, if you're below 18 years) to make retrieval easier in case of damage or loss of the SIM card.

"The card is your unique identifier with the Board and must not get lost at any point in time. Peradventure that happens, you should retrieve it as soon as possible because it cannot be replaced thereafter," the examination board said.
