Man Utd transfer news: Red Devils enter talks for £52m star after two exits confirmed

Marcus Rashford and Ruben Amorim.

Manchester United have plenty to resolve in the transfer market before the clock strikes 11pm on February 3. Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Tyrell Malacia top the list of players who could leave Old Trafford in the coming nine days. At least one new signing is expected to arrive.

Barcelona have emerged as Rashford's most likely destination should the wantaway 27-year-old secure a loan move away from the comfort of Manchester.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have thrust ahead of Napoli in the race to secure a stunning deal for Garnacho, with United demanding £60million to part ways.

Express Sport runs through three transfer developments from the Red Devils as the January deadline grows closer.

Christopher Nkunku talks held

United have reportedly explored the possibility of a loan deal for Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku during talks about Garnacho.

According to Sky Germany, there have been suggestions of a potential swap deal involving Nkunku and the 20-year-old winger.

The Frenchman has been frustrated by his lack of playing time under Enzo Maresca this season, starting just three times in the Premier League.

And the report adds that he is open to a move to Old Trafford if negotiations develop in the coming days.

Christopher Nkunku is open to Man Utd.

Barcelona apply Marcus Rashford pressure

Barcelona looks to be applying pressure on United to contribute towards Rashford's wages to push through a loan deal.

Multiple Spanish media outlets report that Rashford is ready to accept a pay cut if it means he can play in La Liga for the remainder of the season.

But it's claimed that Barca can only afford to pay £3m of the £7.5m the United No. 10 is owed until July and need his parent club to do their part.

With no other club seemingly an option, there is a very real possibility that Rashford will remain at Old Trafford until the summer.

Man Utd confirm two exits

United confirmed two exits on Saturday, including the club's 250th academy graduate, Ethan Wheatley.

The 19-year-old striker, who has made four senior appearances, has joined runaway League Two leaders Walsall on loan until the end of the season.

Talented centre-back Jack Kingdon, also 19, has, too, departed on loan, joining local National League club Rochdale for the remainder of the campaign.

Antony will imminently join the duo in leaving United as he prepares to complete a loan switch to Real Betis. Garnacho and Rashford could soon follow.
