Fubara: You have fought too many battles. You are entering into your season of rest-David Ibiyeomie

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, marked the first day of the annual Glory Reign 2025 event, a major power encounter organized by Salvation Ministries. The event, which kicked off on Monday at the church's headquarters in Port Harcourt, focuses on praise, worship, and healing, with the theme for this year's gathering being "A New Dawn." Governor Fubara was accompanied by several dignitaries, including Deputy Governor Prof. Ngozi Odu, Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Victor Oko-Jumbo, Chief of Staff to the Governor Dr. Edison Ehie, and notable political figures such as Senator Lee Maeba, former Transport Minister Dr. Abiye Sekibo, and Chief Adokiye Amiesimaka, among others.

During the service, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the founder and senior pastor of Salvation Ministries, delivered a powerful message, drawing on a Bible passage from 2 Chronicles 15:10-12. The passage speaks of a time when the people entered into a season of rest after enduring many struggles. Pastor Ibiyeomie proclaimed to the congregation, "You have fought too many battles. You are entering into your season of rest." His message resonated deeply with those present as he declared, "I decree, enter into your season of rest."

In his sermon, Pastor Ibiyeomie spoke of this season of rest as one of prosperity and divine peace. He likened the experience to a flight cruising at a high altitude, symbolizing a state of spiritual and material elevation. He assured the attendees that with faith in God, they would experience His blessings and enter into a time of divine rest, free from the challenges and battles they had previously faced.

The declaration served not only as spiritual encouragement but also as a moment of hope for those present, reinforcing the belief that despite past struggles, a period of peace and abundance was forthcoming. The event continues to serve as an important gathering for the people of Rivers State, offering both spiritual upliftment and a time of community reflection.

This powerful sermon by Pastor Ibiyeomie forms part of the ongoing efforts by Salvation Ministries to inspire and support the people of Rivers State as they navigate personal and collective challenges in the new year.
