Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the founder and senior pastor of Salvation Ministries International, recently shared insights into the financial success of his church during the Glory Reign 2025 (A New Dawn) event.
In his sermon, Pastor Ibiyeomie referenced Isaiah 48:17-21, which highlights God's promise to lead His people and provide for them. He specifically pointed to verse 17, which says, "Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the Lord thy God, which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way thou shouldest go..."
This, he explained, has been the foundation of his ministry's prosperity. The verse further illustrates God's miraculous provision, as seen in verse 21, where God caused water to flow from a rock to satisfy His people's thirst during their journey through the desert.
Pastor Ibiyeomie recalled a conversation with a fellow man of God in November of the previous year. As they were driving, the man of God, who is a prominent figure in the Christian community, asked him, "What is the secret of the wealth of this church?" He was curious about how, despite Port Harcourt not being known for its financial power like Abuja and Lagos, the church was thriving and funding multiple projects without seeming to struggle.
In response, Pastor Ibiyeomie smiled and simply said, "Because I am where God sent me." He emphasized that his ministry's success was not based on location or human effort, but on obedience to God's calling. His unwavering faith in following God's direction, he shared, has been the key to the church's immense growth and wealth.
