The UEFA Champions League also presents the healthy rivalry between Robert Lewandowski and Teammate Raphinha in term of Goal scoring this season, just the way both Players have been at loggerheads in the LA Liga goals chart this season.
Lewandowski Scored twice from the Penalty Spot for Barcelona to put his goals tally to 9 on Day 7, as he helped Barcelona comeback to win 4-5 in Portugal against Benfica. The Polish Striker is the leading force in the chart and currently ahead of Raphinha who is better than him in terms of assists provisions by just a goal.
Barcelona's Raphinha on the other hand also scored twice to put his goals number to 8 following his brilliant strikes that earn Barcelona a 4-5 victory away from home on Day 7 of the Champions League. Raphinha has been a major inspiration to his Team this season, helping them deliver even when they looked weak. Raphinha remains a thorn in the flesh of Lewandowski as he maintains the lead ahead of Dortmund's Guirassy. Even though Guirassy is in big form this season, he has been unable to break into the top 2 positions in the Champions League Goal scoring category where Lewandowski is king. However, he only trail Lewandowski by 3 goals while behind Raphinha by 2.
As the season progresses, the contention is expected to thicken as others like Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior, Bayern's Harry Kane and Atletico's Alvarez are also aiming to finish on a high in this category with goals. More goals and more competition are what to expect this season.
