According to the mother, her daughter was a student at Smiley Kids Montessori School in Sangotedo, Lagos State.

She claimed that her daughter was healthy when she left for school but did not return alive. The school initially reported that the child had drowned in the swimming pool.

However, the mother alleges that her daughter was actually electrocuted, and the school attempted to cover up the truth by placing the body in the pool to make it look like a drowning incident.

This shocking revelation led to widespread outrage and calls for accountability.

In response to the incident, the Lagos State Safety Commission launched an investigation into the matter. Officials from the commission, along with representatives from the Office of Education Quality Assurance and the Ministry of Education, visited the school to conduct a preliminary investigation and determine the root cause of the tragic event.

A statement from the agency read ...

"While the school is presently under lock pending further investigation, the State Government extends its deepest condolences to the family of the victim and expresses its commitment to preventing future occurrences."

Lanre Mojola, the Director-General of the Safety Commission said ...

"Further information would be made available upon completion of investigations into the accident."

Mojola added that

"school owners and caregivers must comply with safety regulations to prevent accidents in the state."
