According to football London, Viktor Gyokeres is edging closer to a Premier League move, with reports suggesting Manchester United are optimistic about securing the Sporting CP striker. Gyokeres, who has netted 29 goals in 25 matches for the Primeira Liga leaders this season, reportedly has his sights set on reuniting with former manager Ruben Amorim.
Linked with several top clubs, including Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Arsenal, United have emerged as the favorites to land the Swedish striker. Back in November, The Sun reported Gyokeres was keen on a move to Old Trafford, and recent reports from The Independent indicate that United remain hopeful of fending off competition for his signature.
Arsenal have also shown interest in Gyokeres as they look to bolster their forward line following Gabriel Jesus' ACL injury. Despite ongoing speculation, Gyokeres has not publicly committed to any club but has expressed his desire to work with Amorim again.
In a recent interview after winning the Guldbollen, an award for the best Swedish player in Europe, Gyokeres reflected on his achievements and hinted at future possibilities. While he did not confirm any specific plans, he expressed ambition to play for one of Europe's top teams by the time he turns 30.
