Ruben Amorim urged to use Man United's Outcast in deal to sign Alexander Isak ahead of Arsenal

Ruben Amorim has been encouraged to consider using a Manchester United player in a deal for Newcastle United's Alexander Isak as per reports by Metro.

The Manchester United legend, Gary Pallister, believes that a striker with a proven goal-scoring record, like Isak, would greatly benefit the club, especially given the underwhelming performances from Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.

Hojlund, despite being a £72m signing, has only managed two goals in the Premier League this season, and Zirkzee's form has led to speculation about his departure just months after arriving.

Pallister highlights the need for a reliable goal-scorer, stating, "They're still looking for a player to get them goals... he looks the finished article and full of confidence."

Newcastle value Isak at over £100m, making any transfer challenging, particularly in the January window.

However, Pallister feels the Swedish striker could be an ideal addition. "Isak would immediately improve the Manchester United squad," he added.

While Amorim is reportedly eyeing Viktor Gyokeres, another former Sporting Lisbon player, for a summer move, Isak remains a tempting prospect.

There are also rumors linking Isak to Arsenal, with Mikel Arteta keen to strengthen his attack.

Pallister further suggested that Marcus Rashford could be used as part of a deal, revealing the increasing interest in the forward. Rashford recently hinted at his willingness to new challenges, fueling speculation about his future.
