One of the chieftains of the All Progressive Congress, APC and former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has taken to his official X account to speak about the 1966 coup which led to the death of many political figures and military leaders in Nigeria.
According to the post that he shared on his official page on Wednesday, the former Minister of Aviation said 98% of the people who plotted and led the coup came from a particular ethnic group in Nigeria.
Femi Fani-Kayode stated that after the failure of the coup, many of the people who plotted and led it were arrested and detained.
He, however, proceeded to list the names of the people who were involved.
According to Femi Fani-Kayode on his official X account;
"This was the first coup in the history of our country and 98 percent of the officers that planned and led it were from a particular ethnic nationality in the country".
