Man United Star Could Be Banned Following Brawl Against Arsenal

Manchester United's heated FA Cup success over Arsenal on Sunday may have severe ramifications for Manuel Ugarte.

Tensions escalated after a disputed penalty was awarded to Arsenal following Harry Maguire's apparent foul on Kai Havertz, leaving the scoreline balanced at 1-1. A massive brawl broke out as Maguire attempted to attack Havertz, and in the ensuing confusion, Ugarte seemed to headbutt the German.

Ugarte was not one of the three players punished following the altercation, suggesting that referee Andy Madley was unaware of his involvement.

Furthermore, the incident might come under more scrutiny because VAR was not used in the FA Cup's third or fourth rounds.

According to the Daily Star, Ugarte might face a three-match ban if it is determined that his actions were violent. But in the end, United won the game because Altay Bayindir stopped Martin Odegaard's penalty kick, and the Red Devils won in a penalty shootout.

After the match, Ugarte took to Instagram, posting snapshots of himself in action, accompanied by the phrase: "When we have the ball, it's a game and when we don't, it's a fight. Let's keep it going always together," reports the Mirror.

United manager Ruben Amorim also chimed in with similar sentiments, saying: "Thankfully, the players were there. They fight, and what we talk about before the match is not technical or tactical, but this.

"We have to compete no matter the situation, and we competed today. I think they [Arsenal] had more chances, but I think we deserved to win.

"Arsenal maybe didn't deserve to lose, but we deserved the win, with the way we played and the way we fought."
